Red Thread Stories: The name given to my life story maps inspired by the Japanese legend that all of those with whom we make history are bound together by a magical red thread. Although the threads may stretch and tangle, they will never break.

When you love someone as much as I love my daughter, finding a truly personalised present is so hard. I wanted so much more than adding her initials to a standard product, I wanted to celebrate her 30th by giving her something that was unique to her and celebrated every inch of her life.

I came across Red Thread Stories as my best friend was given one for her 60th, and was blown away, it was like reading her life in the most glorious and stylish picture - utterly unique. I got in touch with Julie straight away to commission one for Sarah. The service, ease of communication and end result was beyond great, and so I've subsequently commissioned two further pieces for my son and his girlfriend.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long will it take to complete?

From start to finish, usually 4-6 weeks. As I work on my own I can only work on a certain number at a time so it is best to book at least 3 months in advance so I can reserve your design and production time in my calendar. (On occasions I can fit in on less notice).

2. How much will it cost?

Prices start at £255 (plus P&P). For a full breakdown as to costs please feel free to email me. I am very conscious of working to my client's budget and will keep you informed as I go along regarding
costs and will not incur costs over and above the basic price until you have agreed to them.

3. Is there a deposit?

I ask for a non-refundable deposit of £150 which becomes due once you have returned to me your completed questionnaire at stage 2 above. The remainder is to be paid before the final handover.

4. What size is the picture?

The final product, including the frame, is 40cm x 50cm
